Tips for when you’re pregnant
So now at last you discover you are pregnant. You suddenly realise there is a lot of preparation to be done. Now it’s important to make certain you don’t overlook anything. Of course you will be planning for the big day when your baby makes it’s appearance into the world. As you get closer to your due date make sure you have a small suitcase containing everything you will need ready for your hospital stay. It’s probably a good idea to tell a few other people, such as your partner or friends where this bag is. This means someone can bring it to you if you should be taken to hospital from somewhere other than your home.
Okay, so you have your suitcase all ready. But what about baby names? Do you have it narrowed down to a few of your favourites? Many couples who didn’t make a shortlist beforehand often regret it, since it can result in their newborn baby having no name for days and even weeks. To avoid this problem, start making your shortlist as early in your pregnancy as you can, remembering to list a few of your favourites for both boys and girls if you choose not to know the sex of your baby. This way, when your new baby arrives, you’ll instantly be able to depend on your list to find the perfect name.
Now that you have prepared your shortlist of names for your baby, and your suitcase is packed, you can focus on preparing for your baby’s homecoming, beginning with the nursery. This needs to be completely ready before you bring your new baby home. One of the reasons this is really important is because there will be no time to do any unfinished jobs when you and your baby do come home. So preparing the nursery needs careful planning and preparation during the early daysof your pregnancy. This way you know it will be ready when you need it.
Now that the nursery is ready, your suitcase is packed and you are happy that your shortlist of names is done you should start to decide what else you need to do. Well, there are lots of things you will need to buy for your new baby as you prepare for the birth. Your baby will need bedding, clothes, bottles, diapers. Obviously there are many more things you will need to buy besides these items so this is another time when it will be extremely helpful to prepare a list. Once you have noted down what you need you can cross it off as you buy it. By doing this you can be sure you wont have forgotten anything and you will know you have everything you need for your new baby’s arrival.
