As a man born inside the 1970s, I didn’t have much encounter with 70s music hits when they first came out, due to the fact I was just a baby or little child. I have constantly looked back on the music of the 70s with fondness, nevertheless, due to the fact there were fantastic rock n’ roll songs, but it was also the era of disco music and the era that saw the birth of heavy metal.

Now, do not get me wrong, I am not a large fan of disco music, but I do feel that it has an interesting sound, and I am a enormous fan of heavy metal. It really is typically acknowledged that such bands as Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple had been the originators of this specific brand of music, and that it was began within the 1970’s.

Though I am a big fan of rock music, I can’t impersonate them due to my work. Instead, I have to shave my beard regularly. Thanks to the Braun Activator since I am really have a great time dealing with my facial hair.

The Whistler Mountain Bike on Scott Mountain Bikes

Posted on December 24th, 2010 by admin in Sports & Recreation | No Comments »

I first started mountain biking several years ago. I took the sport up because I was no longer racing motocross and still needed to get my outdoor exercise somehow.

When I first started to ride, I rode an XC bike; mostly because there really wasn’t much in the form of great downhill bikes available on the market yet. Back then, a trick bike could have cantilever brakes, 18 speeds, and perhaps two inches of travel. Of course, they didn’t cost nearly what they do today, either.

As you might have guessed, the bikes were simple in those days since the trails were easy, too. No big hucks and stunts like we have today. Instead, decent single track was little more than a nice trail together with the occasional log to ride over.

As the sport developed, bikes and trails developed in tandem. As suspension got bigger, so did the drops. In the neighborhood where I was raised, we were also fortunate to have the Whistler Bike park within easy driving distance.

The Whistler bike park is likely the premier bike park on the planet. They have been building trails there now for more than 7 years and each and every year the park expands. Attendance also keeps growing and the bicycle manufacturers are very well mindful of this; hence why the bikes keep getting tricker each year.

Were it not for the Whistler Bike Park, Im unsure that I could have become such a advocate for downhill riding. For the years I was out of Motocross, downhill definitely helped me to get my thrills in the dirt!
